Domaine Château La Brande Bordeaux Côtes de Castillon Côte de Castillon - Red 2016


70% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc and 8% Cabernet sauvignon. The soils are clay-limestone on Fronsadais mollasses. Tillage with grass cover, no pesticides in the vineyard, manual harvest with sorting and de-stemming.

Aging for 10 to 12 months in Bordeaux French oak barrels.


Eye: Very deep ruby color, brilliant, limpid. Many thick tears.

Nose: Very intense, raspberry and blackcurrant clearly dominate followed by vanilla which recalls aging in Bordeaux barrels. Pepper and cloves are also very present.

Palate: Powerful, fleshy, complex but very balanced.
