Domaine Clos de centeilles Minervois Carignanissime de Centeilles - Red 2016
Carignan, with its old vines which are between 60 and 100 years old, thrives on the very poor soils of the Minervois. Clay-limestone soil, yields of 35hl / ha, manual harvest, no added yeasts or sulphites.
Fermentations in vats as well as aging which lasts 12 months and bottling to "lock the fruit in the bottle"
Eye: A nice ruby of good intensity with brilliant purplish reflections.
Nose: Very fruity, we are in Languedoc, blueberry, blackberry, blackcurrant. Pepper and licorice complement the black fruits.
Palate: Frank attack, fleshy and juicy. Mid-palate dominated by black fruits and spices on silky tannins. Peppery, deliciously fleshy and long finish with hints of morello cherry that one has the impression of biting.
